The deal, in plain English.
These terms govern your use of Calluna. We've kept them as short and readable as we honestly can.
Last updated: June 3, 2026.
Calluna (the "Service") is operated by Conal Hickey, a sole proprietor based in South Pasadena, California, United States ("Calluna," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Calluna.
1. Who can use Calluna
You must be at least 18 years old to create and manage an account. Adults may invite children and other household members; the adult account holder is responsible for their household's use of the Service, including any children they add.
2. Your account
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email — there's no password to manage. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Plans, billing, and your free trial
- Calluna starts with a 7-day free trial. We'll only start charging if you choose to continue.
- After the trial, the plan is $12 per month or $100 per year for your household, billed in advance.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the app or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. If something has gone wrong, email us — we'll try to make it right.
- We'll give reasonable notice before any change to pricing, and price changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
4. Acceptable use
Calluna is for organizing your own household. Please don't: use it for anything unlawful; attempt to access other households' data; disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service; or resell it without our permission. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other families at risk.
5. Your data belongs to you
Your family's information is yours. We don't claim ownership of it, and we don't sell or rent it. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process your data in order to run the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time.
6. Our intellectual property
The Calluna name, brand, design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't give you any right to use them beyond using the Service as intended.
7. Availability and "as is"
We work hard to keep Calluna reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calluna will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Calluna and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, or if we're required to by law. If we ever discontinue the Service, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Calluna after that means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in California will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
